Recent Passing – Dick Ford

Today at St. Giles, we gathered to celebrate the life of Dick Ford, a longtime St. Giles member and former member of Session who passed away suddenly this past Sunday. Lunar Communion Sunday July 20th

Come celebrate (on earth) the 45th anniversary of the first communion in space in which Buzz Aldrin, an elder of Webster Presbyterian Church near Houston, took communion on the moon. Webster Presbyterian Church is forwarding their liturgy for that Sunday for our use at St. Giles as we join with them and celebrate Lunar Communion Sunday”.

Ladies Spiritual Retreat Day September 20th

Walking Program Training

Are you interested in being trained to volunteer with a walking program at St. Giles run by the West Lambton Community Health Centre?  Training will take place over 4 Fridays in September at the centre and then walking will take place at St. Giles in November.  Contact the church office for more information.

Edwin Leitch Library

In honour of our beloved Ed Leitch, past Clerk of Session and a veritable cornerstone of St. Giles, the Quiet Room has been named the Edwin Leitch Library.  A plaque to commemorate the event was presented to his family Sunday May 18th, 2014 and will be installed on the library door.

Recent Passing – Bona Duncan

On Sunday, May 4, after a courageous struggle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family, Bona Duncan peacefully passed away just 5 days short of her 80th birthday.
